Lorraine Flett, Writer/Producer
Lorraine Flett began making films at the age of 11 at her father's side splicing Super8 films that he'd shot while at sea trawl fishing. They then had film nights projecting their 'shorts' onto a screen set up in the family living room. At age 17 she organized film nights in a local gymnasium showing Japanese samurai films ordered from London to a fan club of karate devotees. In her mid-twenties she moved to San Francisco, the city of her dreams, and began her diversified career as a project manager. At forty she took a screenwriting class from James Dalessandro and reawakened her dreams to be 'in the movies'. She has since written eight screenplays and attended digital film school where she learned the craft of making films hands-on and produced/directed two documentaries and a short narrative. She has a credit as Production Coordinator in the award-winning documentary The Damnedest Finest Ruins. With more than twenty years experience managing multi-disciplinary teams - from websites to events to residential remodels - she has honed her communication and organizational skills to a fine art. MISMO is her first, though not her last, feature film that she conceived and produced.

Gino Borges, Writer/Director
Gino's journey to become an effective storyteller began at Purdue University. At Purdue, Gino Dante Borges earned a Ph.D. in Communication with an emphasis in storytelling and influencing audiences. Just as Robin Hood stole from the rich and gave to the poor, Gino steals from established convention and nourishes audiences with more questions than answers, creating what he calls an "aesthetic of possibility." He has produced, directed, and edited the documentary Transience; directed and acted in the trailer Compulsion; and wrote, directed, and narrated the visual essay Shedding. Most recently, Gino directed the dramatic feature Mismo - a non-linear film a la Crash, Amores Perros, and 21 Grams. All in all, Gino engages filmmaking like he does outdoor adventure. He tests the limits of possibility, leaving provocative and indelible impressions on audiences long after their immediate experience.
